Some main production methods of silicone products:

1、 Molding: It refers to the processing method of forming silicone rubber into finished products by heating and pressurizing silicone rubber materials in a closed mold cavity. Usually, a powdery piece of rubber is made into a blank with a similar shape to the finished product, placed in the mold cavity of a heated mold, then closed and pressurized to form and solidify or vulcanize it, and then demoulded to obtain the finished product, suitable for the molding and processing of thermosetting products.

Molded products include: silicone rubber miscellaneous parts, bracelets, phone cases, cake makers, LED lamp plugs, and so on.

Advantages: 1. Can be made into any shape; 2. High accuracy, regular and beautiful product shapes.

Disadvantages: 1. Can only be made with a length less than 600mm; 2. It will produce many rough edges and waste products; 3. The mold cost is expensive, the development cycle is long, and the output is low.

2、 Dip coating: After the silicone rubber is liquidized, the product surface is coated with silicone rubber material by spraying or dip coating.

Dip coating products include: high-temperature wire, glass fiber tube, finger cover, etc.

Disadvantages: 1. Can only be used for painting with consistent colors, not for color matching; The thickness of the coating film on the upper and lower parts of the coated object is uneven; 3. Large solvent volatilization; 4. Easy to pollute the environment; 5. The loss rate of paint is also large.

3、 Calendering: The product has a thickness rule of infinite length through a CNC roller pitch equipment extrusion molding process.

Calendering products include: silicone rubber rolls, table mats, coasters, window decorations, etc.

4、 Injection: The process of injecting silicone rubber material into a mold through liquid or solid injection. The product can be the same as molding, but the performance of the product is different.

Injection products include: medical accessories, baby supplies, milk bottles and pacifiers, car accessories, toy accessories, etc.
